We were recently featured in our local newspaper! The City of Estacada, located on the outskirts of Portland, Oregon is building a new park. We have done several stone engraving projects in the town before and were excited for the opportunity to create a beautiful stone sign for the entrance to the park. Jeff Spiegel of the Estacada News met with us for about an hour and wrote a wonderful article about us, and our company. He highlighted the stone engraving we did on the stone sign for the park and also on the engraving we did on the Estacada Veterans Memorial. He also wrote about our other engraved stone products like our Memorial Stones, and Pet Memorial Stones. The City has some other big improvements and developments coming up in the future and we very much look forward to working with the city on their other needs for stone signs and stone engraving in the future.

I recently met a customer that had a very touching story about loss, healing, and helping others. She told me a story about how several years ago she lost her 22 year old son. Creating a Memorial Garden: Memorial Stones

Several days ago my grandmother passed away and left this world. Of course the loss of a loved one is difficult but I can't help but feel some relief for her. She had late stage Alzheimer's disease that had completely taken over. I know now that she is with my grandfather again and that she is no doubt playing the piano again. My grandmother was a beautiful pianist.

Both of my grandparents have been cremated and we are going to spread  her ashes off the oregon coast where my grandfather is. It got me thinking that we don't have anything to memorialize them. My plan is to find a nice place on my parents property and create a Memorial garden for them. I am going to create custom Memorial stones for each of them to build the garden around. I'm always saying Memorial stones are a great way to honor the lives of your loved ones, and I now have an opportunity to create something nice for them and my family. I am going to consult my family members first to decide what should be included on the Memorial stones and also what plants and flowers they might have liked. I am also thinking about planting a tree as the center of the garden.

In 2004 we lost our dog Riley. My parents own a nice home on 10 acres in a rural community outside of the Portland, Oregon metropolitan area. It is a great place for dogs to run and be happy. Our dogs have always been allowed to run around the property as they please and like many animals, they kind of set up their own boundaries, never leaving our property. 2004 was a tough year for our family, we had to put down Riley's dad Duke because he was 14 years old and couldn't walk anymore. Riley left our property where for almost a week and when he returned he was exhausted and wouldn't eat. We took him to the vet to find out he had salmon poisoning. We lost Riley a week after we had Duke put down. It didn't seem fair to lose both of them. We buried them next to each other on the property and recently honored them with custom pet memorial stones.
